Important Notice !!! All National Kurash Federations participaring at World Championships and 2019 Mastership Korea regarding DOPING CONTROL

1. Governance of 2019 Chungju World Martial Arts Masterships Anti-Doping Program

All athletes and team officials participating in the 2019 Chungju World Martial Arts Masterships(2019 Masterships)should comply with the World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA) World Anti-Doping Code. Please note that as the World Martial Arts Masterships Committee (WMC) and the 2019 Chungju World Martial Arts Masterships Organizing Committee (WMOC) have not yet been recognized as Major Event Organizations (MEO) by WADA, Samplecollection and results management responsibilities for the 2019 Masterships are delegated to respective International Federation (IF).

2. 2019 Masterships In-Competition Testing

2019 Masterships will conduct In-Competition Testing. The definition of In-Competition means “the period commencing 12hours before a competition in which the athlete is scheduled to participate through to the end of such competition and the sample collection process related to such competition.”The term “competition”is defined as “a single race, match, game or singular sport contest.”

3. Prohibited Substances and Methods

WADA’s2019List of Prohibited Substances and Methods contains the substances and methods prohibited for the 2019 Masterships .All athletes and athlete support personnel must familiarize themselves with the Prohibited List. If the list is amended at the time of the Masterships, the valid version on the WADA website will be applicable.

It is the responsibility of the athlete to determine whether a substance and/or method he/she is using or considering using is prohibited or permitted according to the Prohibited List. Athletes are strongly recommended to check the status of all medications through their team physicians and medical support staffat all times.

4. Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUE)

If the medication or method an athlete requires to treat an illness happens to fall under the Prohibited List, a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) may providethe authorization to take the needed medicine or method. As WMOC has not been recognized asWADA’s MEO, respective IF will act as the Testing and Results ManagementAuthoritiesfor 2019 Mastershipsand TUE applications should be submitted to the IF for issue.Athletes caninquire informationaboutthe application process to respectiveIF. Applications are usually submitted through the Anti-Doping Administration & Management System (ADAMS) or using a paper form. 2

Please note the following instructions when applying for TUE:

The procedures for applying for a TUE are outlined in the International Standard for TUEs, which can be found on the WADA website at https://www.wada-ama.org/sites/default/files/resources/files/wada-tue-guidelines-v8.0-en.pdf
