I am Naim Belgin, president of the “Romanian Kurash Federation”

PLEASE TELL US BRIEFLY ABOUT YOUR SPORT ACTIVITIES AND POSITIONS YOU MAY HAVE HAD  IN SPORT ?

We promote several sports in Romania.

One of them is Kurash.

We wrote a book about Kurash in Romanian!

We are on the Directing Committee of the World Organization in 4 federations

In 2015 I had the honor to meet Kurash: The President of the European Kurash Federation Merabi Iliadis and the representative of the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan Mr. Jemshid introduced me to this beautiful sport.After this date I had the honor and pleasure to meet the founder of the modern Kurash Komil Yusupov.All these meetings helped me to see the beautiful face of kurash

WHICH CITY ARE YOU CURRENTLY OPERATING FROM  ?

We are operating inMedgidia, but our frinds is operating Kursah sport in: Bucharest, Constanta, Pitesti, Brasov, Mangalia, Techirghiol and many other localities

HOW IS THE KURASH OPERATION SYSTEM IN YOUR COUNTRY? AS FAR AS I KNOW KURASH IS NOT FEDERATION. HOW DO YOU OPERATE ALONE OR WITH OTHER SPORTS?

It is true, Romania is one of the countries that do not have a very modern sports development system, so the laws are confusing but we strive to make it official. We have already won a lawsuit, the law has proved us right. They want to introduce Kurash to other sports, but we want to make it a stand-alone federation.

WHO IS NOW IN CHARGE OF KURASH AFFAIRS NOW IN YOUR COUNTRY?

Naim Belgin is the president of the Romanian Kurash Federation

WHAT ACTIVITIES HAVE YOU HAD IN 2019 -2020

In 2019 we launched the book about Kurash in Romanian.

We organize local, national and even international Kurash competitions. We have participated in 3 European Kurash Championships, a World Kurash Championship and 5 international Kurash tournaments.

PLEASE TELL ME THE LAST RESULTS YOUR COUNTRY OBTAINED DURING COMTINENTAL OR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS?

We have results only at the European Championships as follows:

In 2016 we have two medals: gold and silver for men (Alex Ferariu Flores gold; Adrian Panainte silver)

In 2017 we have two medals: silver and bronze (Silver by Eugenia Costache; Bronze by Gheorghe Lozovanu)

In 2019 we have a women's gold medal through Eugenia Costache

In the future we hope to get a medal at the world championship as well. We started collaborating with very good judokas and sambo players who we hope will promote kurash in Romania very well.

ARE YOU PERSONALLY MORE INTERESTED IN COACHING , REFEREEING OR MANAGEMENT?

We are interested in the three axes mentioned because people are very interested in sports and refereeing.

WHAT IS YOU VISION FOR KURASH IN YOUR COUNTRY?

In constant development

FINALLY HOW IS CORONA EFFECTING  KURASH NOW IN YOUR COUNTRY?

Restrictions taken to prevent the virus called coronaaffected all facilities of life in my country, but we continue training at home safely.

AT LAST IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WANT TO COMMENT ON OR DISCUSS ?

We hope that this sport will develop very well so that we can see it at the Olympics.

We hope that IKAto give a hand in everything related to the kurash in my country to spread and advance in the sport of kurash
